Tim Rowsey is the founder, President and Chief Compliance Officer of Lighthouse Wealth Management. Tim is also a Certified Public Accountant and is licensed to sell insurance in Ohio.

Tim has over 30 years’ experience in accounting and finance. He was an owner, Vice President, Lead Investment Advisor, Certified Public Accountant, and Chief Compliance Officer of Whitcomb & Hess, Inc. where he worked for 25 years before founding Lighthouse Wealth Management.

Tim is a 1981 graduate of Ashland University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with majors in Accounting and Finance. He passed the National Association of Securities Dealers Series 65 exam in 1997 and became a licensed Investment Advisor Representative.

Tim has previously served on the boards of Ashland City Schools, American Red Cross, and Ashland YMCA and currently serves on the boards of The North Central State College Foundation and Brethren Care.

Cheri Smeltzer is our Operations Manager and Compliance Specialist.  She also serves as Tim’s personal assistant, manages the office, and handles client service needs.

Cheri brings over 25 years of business experience to Lighthouse. She spent the last 8 years working for Whitcomb & Hess, Inc., an accounting, tax, and investment advisory services company in Ashland.  The last five years at Whitcomb & Hess Cheri worked directly under Tim, serving as the Financial Services Operations Administrator and Compliance Specialist, during which time she accumulated vast knowledge of the compliance regulations investment advisors must follow. 

Cheri is also a Certified Assisted Housing Manger and Certified Property Manager. Prior to working at Whitcomb & Hess, she spent 8 years managing a government assisted apartment building for senior citizens in Ashland, Ohio.  While under her management in 2000 the property was named one of the top government assisted housing facilities in the U. S.  In recognition of this honor, Cheri received a commendation from the Secretary of Housing & Urban Development in Washington, DC.
